Groovy Grader

I was introduced to this app this summer when I was at the teacher store about to by an EZ Grader for $7.00. My friend said you know there is app for that! So of course I didn't buy it because this app is free! Groovy Grader is a very easy to use grader. All you have to do is type in the amount of questions and it tells you the grade for the number of questions the students missed. It's free and easy to use, its definitely for me!

Sign Up (very original name!) is an easy way for students, parents, and faculty to sign up for different activities you may need. There are four templates for generic sign up, pot luck, schedule a day, and appointment times. I used this app on Meet the Teacher day with the generic template and had my parents type in their name and email addresses. All I had to do at the end of the day was email the list to me and I could add them to my email contacts. The parents thought it was very cool and it was alot easier for me because I did not have sit and type all of them in. This app is free and can be used for a variety of things. Check it out!

Remind 101

Remind 101 is a free app that is awesome for teachers, coaches, or any group you need to send reminders to. The great thing about the app is that when you create an account it gives you directions to give your students or whoever to sign up and they cannont text you back. This app is useful on your phone because if you all of sudden remember that you forgot to remind the kids of something, you can send out a group message and those who signed up and are apart of your group recieve the message. It is good for when you do not want to look up a bunch of numbers to add to a text and they cannont respond to the message. It is geared toward quick reminders and it works so well. So go create an account for the new school year and get your parents to sign up!

Scoot Pad-Common Core

ScootPad is an app that is based on Common Core Standards to help your students improve their reading, math, spelling, vocabulary, and writing skills. The material is indiviualized for each student based on the content they need help in. Teachers and administrators can track the data of each student and as a class to see areas of strengths and weaknesses. Each student recieves a login and password. I used this app last year and the students really got familiar with the type of questions and set up of Common Core questioning. The students also enjoyed the app because there are some games that they play after they finish activities. I like it because they must type in answers and everything is not just multiple choice.
